DSGMC leaders to appear before Takht

Show comments

Amritsar, March 4

A day prior to his appearance before Akal Takht, former DSGMC president Avtar Singh Hit today withdrew the case against the DSGMC claiming the ownership rights of Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School located in Hari Nagar in Delhi through Sukho Khalsa Primary Educational Society.

Acting swiftly on a complaint pertaining to administrative and financial irregularities in the school, Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh has summoned DSGMC president Manjinder Singh Sirsa, and former presidents Avtar Singh Hit, Manjit Singh GK and Paramjit Singh Sarna with all correspondence and documents pertaining to the school on March 5 at 10 am.

Hit, who reached Amritsar today, refrained from commenting over it, stating that he would address the media only after meeting the Jathedar. One of his supporters said the case had been withdrawn by Hit and the issue was settled amicably.

Sirsa claimed that the case was withdrawn by Hit in favour of the DSGMC unconditionally. “All rights of school operations are now reserved with the executive board of the DSGMC. I will expose them before Akal Takht tomorrow,” he said. — TNS
