Amritsar, August 2

The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) is all set to kick-start ‘Dharam Jagrukta Lehar’ in the state from August 3. The Delhi Sikh body has appointed Manjit Singh Bhoma as its Majha zone in-charge and announced to open its office in Amritsar tomorrow.

Bhoma, an activist of the All-India Sikh Students Federation, will further appoint district in-charges and will coordinate with them for smooth conduct of the programme to propagate Sikh principles.

“The office will be opened at Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Niwas. In tomorrow’s programme, apart from the DSGMC office-bearers, Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee president Baljit Singh Daduwal, Damdami Taksal president Harnam Singh Khalsa, SAD (Samyukt) president Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, representatives of Nihang Sikhs among others will participate,” Bhoma added.

DSGMC president Harmeet Singh Kalka said Delhi Sikh body preachers would be visiting remote villages and the border belt to propagate Gurbani, Sikh rehat maryada (code of conduct), Sikh history and Sikh principles.

He said it was the need of the hour to launch the campaign from Majha region keeping in view the large number of Sikh families embracing other religions for petty gains.
