CM Channi resorting to trickery: SAD

Show comments

Chandigarh, November 30

SAD chief Sukhbir Singh Badal today said Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi had admitted that the Congress government did not have any intention of implementing a complete Rs 90,000-crore loan waiver promised to state farmers, accusing him of resorting to trickery by putting the onus on the Centre.

Reacting to the CM’s letter to the PM, he said: “Farmers were tricked into believing the Congress would waive their loans during the 2017 polls. Now after betraying farmers, Channi is again trying to trick them into believing that their loans will be waived in conjunction with the Centre.”
