Asks him to fulfil poll promises first

Chandigarh, September 10

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) senior leader and Leader of Opposition (LoP) Harpal Singh Cheema today flayed the formation of a committee of MLAs by Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh to address problems of the people. He said the move was a mere pretence as the CM did not fulfil his poll promises made to the farmers, labourers, employees, students and youth in his four-and-a-half-year rule.

Cheema said: “Every section of Punjab has been forced to protest to get the promises made in the Congress manifesto fulfilled.”

He said Capt Amarinder Singh made big claims to develop the state by putting up huge advertisements on government buses and various other places, but the ongoing protests had exposed him. He added 1,153 dharnas had taken place the CM’s hometown alone. — TNS
