Amritsar, January 26

The Border Security Force did not exchange sweets with Pakistani Rangers as is customary on the Republic Day at the Attari–Wagah check point, officials said on Sunday amid frigid ties between India and Pakistan.

Pakistani rangers did not respond when BSF officials sent a message on Sunday, official sources said.

The relationship between two neighbours have been souring lately and reached an all-time low after India decided to read down Article 370, which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir.
