Bring back women stranded in Oman, MP Gurjit Aujla urges Centre

Amritsar MP Gurjit Singh Aujla today urged Minister of External Affairs S Jaishankar to take steps for the repatriation of women stranded in Oman. He said around 24 womenwere living in poor conditions as the Indian Embassy in Muscat had failed to help them.

He said these women had gone to the Arabian country as domestic helps in search of livelihood. He said he had written to the MEA in June and October, but he had not got any response. — TNS
