Black fungus toll up in Muktsar, 4 die in 15 days

Of the 23 black fungus patients in the district, seven have died recently. The data revealed that just two persons had been cured while the remaining were still undergoing treatment. Further, the data showed that four persons had died in the past fortnight.

A senior official of the Health Department said six mucormycosis patients were not infected by Covid-19.

Meanwhile, the Covid graph is coming down with every passing day. At present, there are just five micro-containment zones and one macro-containment zone in the district. In the past 24 hours, 26 persons tested positive for Covid in the district. — TNS
