Bid to gherao Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal in Bathinda

Contract employees of various departments, who have been demanding regularisation, today tried to gherao Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal, but were stopped by the police on the way.

Due to the barricading, they could not move forward and sat on a dharna near a private college where Manpreet had come to attend a function. The employees continued to raise slogans against the Finance Minister for almost two hours. — TNS
