Be wary of Punjab CM’s promises: AAP to farm groups

Show comments

Chandigarh, September 29

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) senior leader and Leader of Opposition Harpal Singh Cheema urged the people of Punjab, especially the farmer associations, to be aware of the statements being made by Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh on agriculture Acts. He termed calling a legal team from Delhi to fight the agriculture laws a drama.

Addressing a press conference, Cheema said when the Assembly session was convened on August 28, the Punjab Government had passed a resolution to repeal the agriculture ordinances. The resolution was to be sent to the Union Government, but the Chief Minister did not send it to the Centre, which showed that he was non-serious about the issues. — TNS
