Rajya Sabha MP and environmentalist Balbir Singh Seechewal today visited waterlogged villages in Lambi Assembly segment. The MP said he would try his best to address the waterlogging problem in this area. Lambi MLA Gurmeet Singh Khudian appealed to release funds for the betterment of the masses.

At Midda village, Seechewal said, “I am ready to release MPLADS fund for the benefit of this area. I am aware of the situation. Some villages are located in the low lying area. I will take up the matter with Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and the Central Government.”

Seechewal said he had seen a video last evening, wherein a farmer from this area was seeking green fodder for animals. “When our region got flooded, these people helped us and sent green fodder. Now, it is our duty to help them as their crops are waterlogged. We have even brought the green fodder today,” he said.

Khudian said the state government was trying its best and he would meet the Chief Minister in this regard.
