Former Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal turned 94 on Wednesday.

SAD leaders from neighbouring districts have arrived at his Badal village residence in this district to greet him.

The family has not planned any special celebrations.

Meanwhile, PM Narendra Modi tweeted his wishes, “Birthday greetings to one of India’s most respected statesmen, Shri Parkash Singh Badal Ji. He has worked very hard for the progress of Punjab, particularly the weaker sections of society. I pray that he is blessed with a long and healthy life.”
