8-year-old boy, man vanish with 'unattended Rs 35 lakh cash bag' from SBI branch in Patiala
It appeared to be handiwork of some insider as when the cashier kept the cash bag unattended for three to five minutes, the child who was already waiting escaped with the money bag

Patiala, August 3
An unknown man and a child allegedly escaped with Rs 35 lakh from State Bank of India branch at Shera Wala Gate.
Police officials are on the spot to identify the accused.
Bank officials said that the incident happened when the bank employees and cashier were refilling the cash in the ATM outside the main branch.
Police said that the child was around 8 years old and he was accompanied by an adult.
“We are investigating the matter,” said police.
Police are trying to ascertain the CCTV footage. Prima facie it appeared to be the handiwork of some insider as when the cashier kept the cash bag unattended for three to five minutes, the child who was already waiting escaped with the money bag.
“We have formed different teams and have dispatched them to locate the accused,” said SSP, Patiala, Deepak Pareek.
