5 held with illicit liquor, lahan

Acting on a tip-off, the police on Monday raided various locations in the district and arrested five persons with 81 bottles of illicit liquor and 50 litre of lahan.

The accused have been booked under the NDPS Act. Two motorcycles were also impounded.

Mansa SSP Surendar Lamba said illicit liquor was recovered by a team from the Jaurkian police station while another team from the Boha police station seized lahan. A total of five arrests were made in this connection. The accused were being interrogated, the SSP added.
