Abohar, November 17

As many as 30 office bearers of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Balluana (reserved) constituency announced to quit the office in protest of removal of the block president, who has been replaced by a turncoat who had quit Congress sometime back.

Baldev Singh, who led the revolt, said AAP Balluana halqa incharge Goldy Musafir, son of retired District Education Officer Gurcharan Singh Musafir, had been involved in anti-party activities since the beginning. “Due to this, he removed Beant Singh, head of the Wahabwala block, without any reason and appointed Angrej Singh, an ex-Congressman in his place. A halqa incharge does not has the powers to remove any official. Beant Singh had worked hard for the party,” he said. The protesters have sent their resignations to the Chandigarh office. — OC
