Abohar: 3-year-old kidnapped by father, 2 held

Abohar, January 23

Police teams have been dispatched from Sriganganagar to Mansa and other places in Punjab to recover a 3-year-old boy, who was allegedly kidnapped by his father yesterday from his in-laws’ Mukherjee Nagar residence in Sriganganagar with the help of two persons. The latter have been nabbed by the police.

On the basis of the complaint filed by Amarinder Singh, a case has been registered against Vikramjit Singh, resident of Chakeria, Mansa and others for kidnapping his nephew (3). DSP (City) Prashant Kaushik and SHO Devendra Singh Rathod visited the house from where the toddler was allegedly kidnapped. The police said the main suspect, Vikramjeet Singh, is the father of the kidnapped child.

The police said after 2 hours, the two youths were nabbed along with the car in Sangria. SHO Devendra Singh Rathod said every effort is being made to recover the child safely and to arrest Vikramjit.
