3 puppies fall into borewell in Kharar; NDRF team reaches to rescue them

A 15-member NDRF team was summoned to Kharar today after three puppies fell into a borewell.

Locals said the three pups fell in the 40-50 feet deep pit outside a house in Sarpanch Colony in Bhagomajra yesterday evening. A fire tender was called but it failed to rescue the canines.

A local NGO raised the issue with Maneka Gandhi who reportedly had a word with Kharar SDM Ravinder Singh after which a rescue operation was launched in Bhagomajra today afternoon.

In a massive rescue operation, a JCB machine is at the spot and has dug up a 20 feet deep pit near the borwell to take out the pups. Eyewitnesses said the pups are still alive as their barking sound can be heard. Huge crowd has gathered near the spot.
