3 booked for brandishing firearms

The police have booked three persons for brandishing firearms and resorting to celebratory firing in Zira.

SI Sharanjit Singh said that taking cognizance of a viral video, the police booked Akashdeep Singh, a resident of Kot Ise Khan road, Gurpinder Singh, a resident of Kacha Gadri Wala village and Golu, a resident of Lohke.

“The accused were booked under Section 188 of the IPC at Zira city police station for violating District Magistrate’s orders,” said SI Sharanjit.

On February 29 as well, the police had booked three youths from Makhu for brandishing guns during a function.
