208 new cases, five deaths reported in Punjab; tally rises to 6,491

Punjab on Monday reported 208 new cases of coronavirus besides five deaths, taking the state’s case tally to 6,491.

The death toll now stands at 169.

Jalandhar recorded maximum 84 cases, followed by Ludhiana (25).

Muktsar reported the six new cases of the deadly disease, taking the total in the district to 139.  Six persons of a family, including a six-month-old boy, tested COVID positive at Mann Singh Wala village. A family member, who had returned from Moga district, had tested COVID positive a few days ago. A total of seven persons of this family are COVID positive.
