2 kg heroin seized, 3 held

Moga, June 12

The police have arrested three drug smugglers and recovered 2 kg heroin from their possession from Tharaj village of the district today The market value of the contraband is estimated to be Rs 20 crore.

The arrested have been identified as Jaswant Singh and Sukhchain Singh of Daulewala village in Moga, and Satnam Singh of Laatianwala village in Kapurthala. Jaswant and Sukhchain are already facing charges of smuggling under the NDPS Act. An FIR has been registered under provisions of the NDPS Act against the smugglers.
