10-gm heroin seized, 2 held

Patiala, January 19

The police arrested two persons in the Patran block of the district and recovered 10-gm of heroin from their possession. The accused have been identified as Angrez Singh and Gurnam Singh, both residents of Patran. The police said they had set up a naka at Hamjehdi village. The accused were riding on a bike, which had no number plate.

The accused have been booked under section 22, 61, 85 of the NDPC Act and further investigations were underway. — TNS
