Show comments

Actor Aarushi Sharma has featured in several Punjabi films like Kaka Ji, High End Yaariyaan and music videos with many renowned singers like Sajjan Adeeb, Ammy Virk and B Praak. This beautiful actor with winsome smile talks to us on how she is navigating the world of Punjabi cinema.

  • Was becoming a part of the industry, particularly Punjabi cinema, your childhood passion?

I always wanted to be an actor but I never in particular thought about being a part of Punjabi film industry. I was destined to be here.

  • You got name and fame with movies like Kaka Ji, High End Yaariyaan and videos with known actors. How has been this experience?

I have had the best of both worlds. I feel lucky that I got the opportunity to experience both, but yes acting in a film and performing in a music video are two very different things.

  • You have worked with many talented Punjabi actors. Who is your favourite?

Out of the people I have worked with and I had the most fun shooting with Ranjit Bawa. He is crazily funny and a great human being.

  • What drew you towards Pollywood?

Destiny.

  • What do you expect from stardom? What are you looking forward to in your acting career?

Stardom is a by-product of your hard work, passion and dedication. I focus on these three aspects and if I do my best, stardom is not too far.

  • If given a choice, would you pick a Hindi movie or a web series?

It completely depends on the concept and storyline of the project. Whatever appeals to my heart is what I shall go for.

  • How do you keep in touch with your fans?

It is actually very hard to keep in touch with the fans all the time but I think fans should also understand that if I do not reply to everyone instantly on social media it doesn’t mean I do not value or love them. We all are where we are because of fans. I adore my fans!

  • What do you think works? Being honest or being right?

Being honest is being right.

  • What is that one quality that helped you become a better actor during your career?

Being open to criticism, I take criticism positively and work on myself. I always like to take feedback from senior actors and directors.

  • What is Aarushi Sharma like in real life?

I am people’s person.

  • What is your 2021 agenda?

To work hard and deliver the best performances .

  • What are your upcoming projects?

Punjabi films Daddy Cool Munde Fool 2, Maa, web series Zila Sangrur and one video song with B Praak. — Dharam Pal
