Punjabi University students protest against violence in Delhi

Students of Punjabi University today held a protest march against violence in Delhi that has killed many and injured others.

Students blamed the fascist elements for the violence. Carrying placards and posters condemning the violence, students said the violence erupted right under the nose of the Centre Government.

Sandeep Kaur, state committee member, Punjab Radical Student Union (PRSU), said: “The right-leaning political parties in the country are directly responsible for the violence in Delhi.”

Another student said: “MLAs of various political parties, who have been giving objectionable statements against protests being carried out in Delhi and elsewhere in the country are to blame for the violence.”Students started a protest march from the office of the university Vice-Chancellor, Dr BS Ghuman, and covered the whole university campus. The protest culminated at the entry gates of the university.
