Proclaimed offender lands in police net

Patiala, January 21

A proclaimed offender, who had fled from the custody of the Khanna police on January 7, has been arrested.

The accused, Rajinder Kumar Walia, 48, was nabbed at the Sanuari area bus stand on Monday.

SSP Mandeep Singh Sidhu informed that four cases of cheating and forgery were registered against the accused in Chandigarh and Patiala.

The SSP said Walia, alias Narinder, alias Jatinder, used to target old and physically challenged people in banks.
