Prepared to handle CoV cases: Expert

Patiala, February 16

The Department of Medicine and VRDL of Government Medical College (GMC) organised a continuous medical education (CME) to tackle suspected cases of coronavirus (CoV).

The CME was inaugurated by Director, Research and Medical Education, Dr Avinish Kumar, GMC Principal Dr Harjinder Singh and Medical Superintendent Dr Paras Pandav. The speakers were Dr Rupinder Bakshi, state nodal officer, Dr Satish Sachdeva, Department of Medicine, Dr Sumit Soni from the Department of Anesthesia, Dr Vishav Yadav from the ENT Departmental and Dr Puneet Gambhir from the Department of Preventive Medicine.

GMC Principal Dr Harjinder Singh said two mock drills were conducted. He said, “We are well prepared to handle coronavirus patients. Next week, we will teach our MBBS students how to handle cases like coronavirus.” — TNS
