Online fraud: Cyber cell of Patiala police recovers Rs 4.6 lakh

The cyber crime cell of the Patiala police have recovered and returned Rs 4.6 lakh duped from a woman in an online fraud. An unidentified person had made purchases with the cheated amount after taking OTP from her. The police said the recovery was made within 48 hours of receiving the complaint.

Cops said the woman was duped of Rs 4.60 lakh after an unidentified person took her OTP and did online shopping. They said the cyber cell officials got the online orders cancelled, recovered the money and returned it to the woman.
