Mosques inspected

The Kharar city police inspected four mosques situated within the limits of the Municipal Council.

Kharar city police Station House Officer Bhagwant Singh, along with other officers, visited four mosques situated at the Janta Chowk, Chotti Masjid Hospital road, Khanpur village and Masjid Aksa Dasmesh Nagar. Sources said four ‘maulvis’ and eight other persons were staying in the mosques. The ‘maulvis’ were instructed not to allow any gatherings. The police inquired about the travel history of all those living in the mosques.

Similarly, the Kharar city police acted firmly against those who were found violating the curfew orders. Bhagwant Singh said that till today, 20 FIRs under Section 188 of the IPC have been registered and 31 persons arrested. He said 13 two-wheelers and six four-wheelers were impounded.
