Mobile seized from jail inmate

The Patiala Central jail authorities have recovered a mobile phone from a jail inmate. The phone was recovered during a routine checking on Sunday. The accused has been identified as Rakesh Kumar, a resident of Patiala.

The jail authorities also recovered a battery and SIM card from the accused, lodged in barrack number seven. After receiving the complaint, the police booked the accused under section 52- A of the Prisons Act. Station House Officer (SHO), Tripuri, said they have registered a case and started the probe. — TNS
