Patiala: Health team collects food samples in Samana, Sirhind Road

Patiala, January 13

A team of the Health Department today collected five samples of food from shops and hotels in Samana and Sirhind road to check the sale of adulterated food items ahead of Lohri.

The team members said they collected samples of bakery items, cooked rice and vegetables from Samana and Sirhind road. The samples will be sent to the food-testing lab in Kharar. “If they fail the test, action will be taken against the shop owners under the Food Safety Act”, the team members said.
