Global recognition for Punjabi University faculty member

Patiala, November 6

Dr RS Singh, Department of Biotechnology, Punjabi University, has made it to the list of ‘world ranking of top two per cent scientists’, the university said here today.

A study on subject-wise analysis was conducted by Stanford University, USA, under Dr John PA Loannidis, which was published recently in the international journal “PLOS Biology” on October 16. They had created a database of over 100,000 top scientists of the world on the basis of standardised citation indicators, including citations, H-index, co-authorship and other like indicators.

Dr BS Ghuman, Vice-Chancellor of the university, congratulated Dr RS Singh for the global recognition.
