Environment Day celebrated

Patiala: Diesel Loco Modernisation Works, a unit of the Indian Railways, here celebrated World Environment Day to spread awareness about a healthy environment. Officials of the department held activities, including plantation of saplings and display of posters at work place as well as residential area. SN Dubey, Prinicipal Chief Administrative Officer, along with a team of officials, planted the saplings at the administrative building. He said: "On June 5, World Environment Day is celebrated to spread awareness among public about the importance of nature and encourage the DMW officials and staff to preserve and enhance a healthy environment."
