Patiala, March 31

The police officers, who have been at the forefront of the fight against Covid-19, were checked for the virus by a team of doctors at various nakas today.

The police personnel, who have been on duty round the clock at nakas, have been continuously exposing themselves to multiple people every day. Owing to their vulnerability, the medical staff screened the police and apprised them about the protective measures while dealing with people.

Patiala Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mandeep Singh said it was extremely important to take care of the health of police personnel, who had been helping the administration in ensuring the implementation of lockdown.

The doctors said the police personnel were informed about the do’s and don’ts to protect themselves from Covid-19. Dr Sanjeela Khan also demonstrated the proper way of using hand sanitisers and masks to the officers.
