District and Sessions Judge visits Nabha jails, interacts with inmates

Patiala, July 26

The District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Rajinder Aggarwal, inspected New District Jail and Maximum Security Jail, Nabha, today.

He talked to jail inmates regarding their grievances. He instructed Jail Superintendents, officers and staff to ensure timely redressal of grievances and problems of inmates and pay special attention toward their health and medical facilities.

Aggarwal said inspection of jails was conducted regularly so that inmates could be made aware about their rights and free legal aid could be provided to them.

Needy persons could contact the toll-free helpline number 1968 for free legal aid, Aggarwal added.
