Fatehgarh Sahib, July 1

A large number of BJP workers, led by district president Pradeep Garg and senior party leader Didar Singh Bhatti, gathered in front of the office of the Deputy Commissioner here today and protested against the brutal murder of Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur.

They raised slogans against the Rajasthan Government and burnt an effigy of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.

Addressing the workers, Bhatti said the police neither arrested the culprits nor Kanhaiya was provided adequate security even as he had been receiving threats. He said the state government was fully responsible for Kanhaiya’s murder. He demanded that both the suspects arrested in the murder case should be hanged and action taken against those police officials who did not act on Kanhaiya’s complaint.
