12 doctors, 24 paramedics honoured

The Divisional Commissioner, Chandra Gaind, has started a drive to honour Covid warriors of Patiala under Mission Fateh.

During a function held at the Divisional Commissioner’s residence here this evening, 24 paramedical staff and 12 doctors of the district were given a guard of honour by the police and were felicitated by the Divisional Commissioner.

Lok Sabha member from Patiala Preneet Kaur encouraged the Covid warriors through video-conferencing and said doctors, nurses, police, NGOs, anganwadis, ASHA workers, sanitary workers had been playing a very important role during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Divisional Commissioner Chandra Gaind said, “Doctors and paramedical staff were honoured on Monday. Other Covid warriors of the district will be honoured in the same manner.” He appealed to people to immediately contact the nearest government health centre or Government Rajindra Hospital in case of any symptoms.
