OFB Trade Apprentice

The Ordnance Factory Board has released an official notification for the recruitment of Trade Apprentices for both Non-ITI and ITI category under the 'Apprentices Act 1961' in Ordnance and Ordnance equipment factories located in different states across India. All candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria can read the notification and apply online.

Vacancies: 6,060

Qualification: There are different eligibility criteria for both groups-

  • Non-ITI category: Candidates should cleared Matriculation (Class X or equivalent) as closing date of application with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and with 40% marks in mathematics and science each.
  • ITI category: Candidates must be appeared in relevant trade test from any institute recognised by NCVT or SCVT or any other authority.

Age limit: 15-24 years

Selection process: Here selection will be done on the basis of merit list, which will be prepared separately for both non-ITI and ITI category. The non-ITI category merit list will be prepared factory-wise. It is made by taking the overall percentage of marks in matriculation. For ITI, the merit list will be prepared factory-wise and trade-wise, on the basis of their matriculation and ITI's average marks.

DRDO-CEPTAM (Staff vacancies)

Defense Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) -- Centre for Personnel Talent Management (CEPTAM) has published a notification for the recruitment of multi-tasking Staff (MTS) vacancies.

Vacancies: 1,817

Age Limit: 18 to 25 years

Qualification: Candidates should have cleared matriculation. Industrial Training Institute passed out candidate is also eligible.

Selection process: It will involve Tier-I for screening and Tier-II for final selection. They both will be conducted in a computer based test (CBT) mode. Both the tests consists of objective multiple type questions and there will be no negative marking. The final selection is made on the basis of Tier-II exam.

HRTC Driver posts

Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC), Shimla has released a notification for the recruitment of Driver vacancies.

Qualification: Applicants should have passed matriculation and should possess HTV driving experience

Selection process: Candidate has to verify his/her documents and has to go through an interview. A preliminary driving test will also be conducted for the eligible applicants.

Selection process: This process involves two tests. Firstly, a written Objective type Screening test of two hours duration will consist of 170 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) of 85 marks and each question is of ½ marks. The skill tests will be of qualifying nature. The selected candidates have to go for the main examination. It can be both objective and subjective in nature. Final selection will be completely on the basis of the second main exam.
