Suspecting doctors practising modern medicine in Pakistan are compromised by Indian agencies, Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) chief Maulana Masood Azhar has advised his top commanders to avoid allopathic treatment and instead rely

on Unani method for treating ailments, intelligence sources said.

Azhar, who has been undergoing treatment for his renal issues, has an apprehension that the allopathic doctors, treating him, could be under the influence of Indian agencies and might make attempts to eliminate him without using force, sources said.

The mastermind of a series of terror attacks against India including the Pathankot airbase attack and Pulwama suicide bombing, Azhar in message, which he had issued last week, has claimed that Muslims are virtually being administered poison in the name of allopathic medicines, sources in the agency said. In his message, he said, Unani medicines were most healthy which are being consumed from the times of the Prophet, they added while claiming that he exhorted JeM commanders that they should rely on the traditional form of medicine for treatment of various ailments.

Sources said the JeM chief also suspected Pakistani military doctors for the continuing treatment of his failed renal surgery, as he feels even the uniformed medical professionals could fall prey to the designs of Indian agencies.
