UP: Toddler accidentally falls into pond, drowns

Ballia (UP), March 16

A two-year-old girl drowned in a pond outside her house in a village under Bairia police station here, police said on Tuesday.

Police said the deceased has been identified as Kavita, who was playing outside her house, and accidentally fell into the pond on Monday evening.

When the family members could not trace the child for a long time, they started searching and found her in the pond.

The girl was taken to a community health centre, where the doctors declared her brought dead, the police added. — PTI
