New Delhi, June 26

A day after another Shiv Sena minister, Uday Samant, shifted allegiance to rebel leader Eknath Shinde, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray reshuffled the departments of ministers “so that the issues of public interest are not neglected or ignored”, as per the CMO.

Apart from Shinde and Samant, the other ministers camping in Guwahati are Gulabrao Patil, Dada Bhuse, Sandipan Bhumre, Shamburaje Desai and Abdul Sattar.

Bachu Kadu of Prahar Janshakti Party, and an Independent minister from Sena quota, Rajendra Yedravkar, are also with Shinde.

Shinde’s portfolios have been given to Subhash Desai while Gulbrao Patils's portfolio to Anil Parab.

Meanwhile, Shinde has moved the Supreme Court saying the lives of rebel MLAs are under serious threat from Sena cadres.

He alleged that Sanjay Raut's threat that "their bodies will come from Guwahati" means the MVA government is not in control of law and order in Maharashtra.

Shinde also moved the court against the Sena's move to disqualify him and 15 other rebel MLAs,

Thackeray's team said they are prepared for a legal battle.

The Shiv Sena had decided to remove all dissident ministers during its national executive meeting on Saturday.

It also passed a resolution that no other political outfit could use the name Shiv Sena and the name of its founder, late Bal Thackeray.
