New Delhi, January 20

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who was expected to file his nomination for the Assembly elections on Monday, will now file his papers on Tuesday due to a delay caused by his massive roadshow.

“I was supposed to file my nomination today but the office closes at 3 pm. I was asked to go in between and file my nomination but how can I leave people at the roadshow and go? I will now go to file nomination tomorrow with my family,” said the CM.

The roadshow started at the historic Valmiki Temple, where the AAP leader sought blessings. It then went to Connaught Place via Panchkuian Marg into the Inner Circle and then towards the Outer Circle on to Baba Kharak Singh Marg. It concluded near the Patel Chowk Metro station.

Holding brooms, scores of supporters participated in the rally. In an open yellow jeep, Kejriwal waved and greeted his supporters as his family stood beside him. Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and AAP leaders Sanjay Singh and Gopal Rai were also present at the rally. — PTI
