PM Modi to inaugurate WHO global centre

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Tuesday inaugurate the WHO Global Centre for Traditional Medicine at Gujarat’s Jamnagar in the presence of WHO Director General Tedros Ghebreyesus. The inauguration will be followed by a Global Ayush Investment and Innovation Summit. TNS

Legislators to visit Vietnam, Cambodia

New Delhi: An Indian parliamentary delegation led by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla is set to embark on a three-day visit to Vietnam from April 19, say officials. The Speaker will also lead a separate delegation of parliamentarians to Cambodia from April 22 to 25. Birla would also lay a wreath at Ho Chi Minh mausoleum. TNS

CBI takes over probe into missing coins

New Delhi: The CBI has registered an FIR and has taken over the probe into the case relating to missing coins worth Rs 11 crore from the vaults of the SBI branch at Mehandipur Balaji in Rajasthan, agency officials said. The officials said the SBI had approached the Rajasthan High Court seeking a CBI probe into the matter as the total amount missing was higher than Rs 3 crore, the threshold for seeking a probe by the Central agency.
