The only solution to communal and other societal problems is to keep the country’s politics “free from casteism, dynastic rule and appeasement” and lay focus on “performance and development”, the BJP stressed in its political resolution on Sunday.

The resolution moved by Home Minister Amit Shah on the closing of the two-day Hyderabad national executive meeting also affirmed that the “next 30 to 40 years will be the era of his party” and that India will become a “vishwa guru” (world leader).
There was a “collective hope and finding” at the meeting that the BJP’s next round of growth would come from South India, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, briefing mediapersons on the party’s political resolution.
The BJP’s poll victories underlined people’s approval of its “politics of development and performance” and the ending of the politics of family rule, casteism and appeasement. “Dynastic politics, casteism and appeasement” are the “greatest sins” and the reasons behind the country’s sufferings over the years, the resolution said. When asked about recent incidents like the one at Udaipur, Sarma said such issues would not have happened had some parties not followed the politics of appeasement and casteism. “Only when the politics of jaativaad, parivarvaad and tushtikaran (appeasement) is removed, can the country move forward.”
“The era of political violence should end,” Sarma said, quoting Shah.
PM Modi gave several suggestions during the discussions. The PM urged cadre to highlight the profile and journey of NDA’s presidential candidate Droupadi Murmu, and the good practices and achievements of BJP governments, including those in the Northeast. During PM Modi’s tenure, twice came the chance to nominate a presidential candidate. The party first picked a Dalit and now a tribal, the resolution stated.
It also highlighted the Supreme Court order on the 2002 Gujarat riots, calling it “historic” while accusing “some politicians, NGOs and journalists of running a campaign against PM Modi”.
“The court rubbished all allegations against PM Modi. He never spoke a word but partook poison like Neelkanth during amrit manthan. He endured humiliation but kept faith in the Constitution,” Sarma said, quoting Shah.
Slamming the Opposition, Shah criticised the Congress for its continued opposition to key policies and decisions of the NDA government. The resolution also discussed the government’s policies and reforms, including those related to defence like Agnipath, OROP and CDS.
The BJP discussed upcoming elections in southern states and resolved to “end family rule in states like Telangana and West Bengal” and come to power in states that have so far remained out of the saffron reach.
