MoU with Uzbek on solar energy

New Delhi, January 20

The Union Cabinet today approved signing of an MoU between India and Uzbekistan for cooperation in the field of solar energy, including manufacturing of equipment, implementation of projects and technology transfer.

In an official statement, the government said the main area of work would be to identify “research/demonstration/pilot projects” between the National Institute of Solar Energy, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, India, and the International Solar Energy Institute (ISEI), Uzbekistan, in the mutually identified areas. —TNS
