New Delhi, March 15

The Congress on Wednesday alleged that the ruling BJP was creating disruptions in Parliament so that the Gautam Adani issue was not raised there by Opposition parties.

“What did Rahul Gandhi say that had rattled the BJP so badly? The ruckus that is being orchestrated in Parliament – the ruling party is not allowing the proceedings to take place – what can be a greater proof that all this is being done to protect Adani,” Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate said.

The Congress spokesperson also attacked BJP leader and Union Minister Smriti Irani and described her as the chief of the “troll ministry” set up to troll Rahul Gandhi.

Referring to Irani’s comments against Rahul today, Shrinate said Irani was feeling threatened that her position as the head of the “ministry” would be taken over by Anurag Thakur. This prompted Irani to launch a fresh attack against Rahul today, Shrinate alleged.

Earlier today, Irani said India demands an apology from Rahul for what he said in the UK.

”Every Indian citizen demands an apology from him to the Indian Parliament. It is shameful that Rahul Gandhi, instead of coming to Parliament and apologising for his rant against India, is absent from Parliament,” Smriti Irani said.

Speaking in the UK recently, Rahul Gandhi had alleged that the structures of Indian democracy are under “brutal attack” and the BJP and the RSS have captured almost all institutions. He has often accused the Sangh of fanning hate and creating divisions in society.
