Man behind Nanakshahi calendar Purewal dead

Amritsar: Canada-based Pal Singh Purewal, the architect of ‘mool’ Nanakshahi calendar, passed away after a brief illness at 90. After Akal Takht nod, the SGPC adopted the calendar in 2003.
