Kumari Selja, Abhishek Manu Singhvi are new Congress Working Committee members

Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Thursday named former union minister Kumari Selja and party spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi members of the party's working committee.

Former Rajya Sabha MP T Subbarami Reddy has been inducted as permanentinvitee to the Congress Party's highest decision making body.

Former Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee president Ajay Kumar Lallu will be specialinvitee to the CWC.

The appointments come after the party removed Adampur MLA Kuldeep Bishnoi from his posts. He was special invitee to the CWC and was expelled after voting for independent Kartikeya Sharma in the recently held Rajya Sabha election in Haryana, where the Congress Party's official nominee, Ajay Maken, lost.
