Indian Army to celebrate 50 years of 1971 Indo-Pak war with slogan writing competition; details inside

To commemorate 50 years of India's victory over the 1971 Indo-Pakistan War, ‘Swarnim Vijay Varsh’ is being organised across the country.

As part of the celebrations, the Indian Army is also organising an online slogan writing competition from April 1 to May 31, 2021. 

The competition is open to all citizens of India, and the entries can be sent to swarnimvijayvarsh.adgpi@gmail.com. 

Details of the competition are available on the Indian Army's Facebook, Instagram and Twitter handle.

Selected slogans would be used by their official media handles, and due credit would be given.  

The winner would get a cash prize of Rs 50,000, and the runners-up will get a cash prize of Rs 25,000. 

The slogan competition will be followed by more events and competitions.

This competition is part of the Army's effort to forge a closer bond with its fellow citizens, and also to highlight the contributions of the Indian Armed Forces in the Indo-Pak war of 1971 which led to the liberation of Bangladesh.
