Govt okays MoU with France on renewable energy

New Delhi, March 3

The Union Cabinet today gave its ex post facto nod to a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which India has with France, for cooperation in the field of renewable energy.

The government in an official statement said, “The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was apprised of the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and French Republic in the field of renewable energy cooperation. The MoU was signed in January 2021.”

The Union Cabinet also approved an MoU between India and Fiji for cooperation in the field of agriculture and allied sectors. The MoU would be signed between the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare of India and the Ministry of Agriculture of Fiji), the government said, adding that it provides for cooperation in various areas.
