Chandigarh, June 22

As Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress government faces a political crisis in Mahrashtra, BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis's wife Amruta Fadnavis scorned at Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Twitter.

In a tweet that she later deleted, Amruta Fadnavis wrote, "Ek 'Tha' Kapati Raja... (Once there was a wicked king)."

Her reference to a "king" and the quotation marks she used around 'Tha' are apparently being seen as a reference to Chief Minister Thackeray of the Shiv Sena.

The tweet comes at a time when Maharastra government is amid crisis after its rebel minister Eknath Shinde is in Assam along with 40 MLAs, which include 35 from the Shiv Sena and 5 independents. Shinde had on Monday urged Thackeray to renew the party's alliance with the BJP.
