New Delhi, July 18
As the ongoing session of Parliament is going to be last when Chairman of Rajya Sabha M Venkaiah Naidu will be presiding over the House proceedings, he today made a fervent appeal to members to be “different and better” than they were in the past five years when 57 per cent of the productive time was partly or fully disrupted. On the opening day of the Monsoon session of Parliament, he said this is the last session in the 75th year of Independence and the members should give their best performance to make it memorable.
Naidu’s five-year term as the Vice President ends on August 10.
