New Delhi, April 20

The Army has ordered a probe after it was found that sensitive information has been leaked on some WhatsApp groups. The groups had serving and retired officers, besides civilians, as members.

Army officers are barred from joining WhatsApp groups where all members are not identified. In this case, some officers of the Army were part of the WhatsApp groups under scanner.

The probe is looking at the possibility of information falling into the wrong hands. Prima facie it seems to be a cyber security breach, said an official.
